Afraid to parallel park or back into a parking space because you might hit another car? Worried that when you back into your garage you may hit your child's bike or the wall? Or maybe you would just like the added security of knowing when your in just the right spot! Well, the American Technologies Corporation has the answer for you, the Autopark 2000 backup alarm. The Autopark 2000 assists you while your car is in reverse by audibly indicating when you are close to an object. The autopark 2000 is easily installed by yourself in just minutes. How it Works: The AutoPark 2000 is activated automatically when the vehicle is put in reverse. Utilizing the latest sensors, the AutoPark 2000 detects objects behind the vehicle while the vehicle is in reverse. The microcomputer in the unit immediately processes this information letting the driver know of any dangers behind the vehicle through a series of specialized beeps (speaker is included). The AutoPark 2000 has three different zones. The zone distances are easily adjustable so the consumer can customize the AutoPark 2000 for their own circumstances. The first cone is the safe zone. By being silent it assures you that there is not an object in the immediate vicinity. The second zone is the caution zone. This zone typically is set to start when an object is 2-4 feet away and is noticeable by a constant beeping sound. The third zone is the warning of stop zone. This is typically set from 6 inches to two feet (depending on the desired distance the consumer chooses). When an object gets this close the beeping sound will change pitch and increase in speed alerting the driver to stop. The AutoPark 2000 lets you become a safer driver! Installation: There is no electronic auto accessory that is easier to install on any car then the AutoPark 2000 (besides maybe a radar detector). Its shape was carefully designed to not only incorporate the electronics, but it is designed precisely to fir a standard license plate. ATN has timed many installations and have found that an installation can be done as fast as 15 minutes by non-professionals, with an average time being around 20 minutes. The best thing about the AutoPark 2000 installation is that no frilling is required. Even if the consumer does decide to drill, the dole will be behind the license plate and not in a spot that would be noticeable. The AutoPark includes all parts that are needed for installation.
